It might have been better to not have cropped off the top of his head, but I do like the expression on his face. What an interesting way to take a photo of a person -- not just a simple head shot, but a nice expression and one of him looking off to the side, not just right at the photo. Very interesting, I think.

I'd agree regarding the comp. I enjoy tight comps, but it's too tight on top. I don't mind the lighting at all. I think it's a nice representation of this young man. I especially like how you left him as he is, without cloning out any skin imperfections. Nice.

Nice portrait. Don't mind the crop off the top if you're also going to crop tighter on the bottom, but don't understand why you chopped off his head and included that much of his chest. A bounce card for some fill on the right side might have been nice as well.
