About Here's another view of our rather nice local bridge. One of those rare blue skies... and I had my panorama camera with me. The TX-1 (by Fuji) is an unusual camera in that it takes 24 x 67mm panoramas on standard 35mm film--20 of them on a 36-exp cassette. The 45mm lens used with this large negative has the field of view of a 25mm lens with the standard 35mm frame. Wide enough for good panoramic effect without spatial distortion near the edges. Not many people take vertical panoramas, but I rather like them.

I think this is the first vertical panorama that I have seen. Actually, the it's a great ide. This certainly presents the height of this bridge--with no distortion against the beautiful sky. Including the cyclist gives us a perspective of the height. Terrific panorama, Roger.

Yes, Roger I did comment on your bridge abstract photo. What happened to it? Did you delete it, or did it just disappear?

I like like this version too. The perspective is great. Both are really fine.

Good to hear from you Vanessa. The site will probably take a while to settle down. I just wish the ads would go away!

Thank you, Carsten. Blue skies are so rare here in Japan that I never even THINK of throwing them away! You are quite right about this one... thanks for the suggestion!

A perfect scene for a vertical pano, well seen and composed ! I think it is attractive enough for a B&W, its geometric patterns come out even better without color IMO !

Cheers

Hi Roger,
I think it's a good vertical panorama. The bridge wires are like the mountains lines

Outstanding shot Roger. Wonderful perspective and angel of view. That cyclist brings live into the scene.
