About Does a record breaking 10" of snow classify as Patterns in Nature?

I'm not sure, but with a 4:30 AM wakeup time and questionable roads I was willing to drive into KC and walk through some deep snow to get this dawn shot before the pristine snow was ruined.

I think the snow makes for a nice layer on the city. Notice the lack of drivers.

Composite of about 20 shots in Autostitch in an overnight processing run. For all you Panoramic stitchers out there, this is for you. Over 6000 pixels wide.

Very beautiful. I like having the fresh, undisturbed snow in front. Superb addition to your Union Station collection.

Stitching 20 shots and making it look this good is a miracle in my humble opinion.

Thank you Amy. Not as dramatic as the fall shot in my portfolio, but a very nice subtle photograph. I'm still trying to decide if I should pair them together.

Last year's winter shot was not as good.

Elle:

Yes, all natural - the sun was no quite up and I only had time for these shots before I got cold and had to get back to the car to head to work. Thank you!

I love the gradient blue in this, I'm guessing its naturally occuring. I'd say your time was well spent getting up for this shot. Just beautiful! Congrats.
