uhm... it's hard... i think i prefer the first one, shadows make a great contrast with the vivid colours and have a deeper feel...
anyway i love both versions as well!

All the forms seem to dovetail ? the L-shaped shadow on the bottom and the buildings themselves all fitted neatly into the frame, along with really saturated color. Even the lone bird showed up on que.

Nä inte alls - det jag menar är att trots den klara djupa blåa färgen så "poppar" det gråa huset ut med sina röda detaljer. I svartvitt blir det inte lika effektfullt!

I like the color version specifically because the sky is so blue! To me the black and white version looks too somber, whereas the color version is more uplifting.
I hope that poor little bird that's about to smash into the wall was alright! :)

Thanks Jeanette - so you think the blue is overdoing it?

Yes a matter of taste - but the b/w version would not catch my eyes in the same way. I prefer the colour version - even thought the sky are so deep deep blue!

You are right, better this version, in my honest opinion; the wall texture and brightness too contrast in an excellent way with so saturated and colorful sky,and more:the shadow on left corner side enhance and add more value to the composition!!!!!
Best.

I shot this with the intention of converting to b/w but the very bright sunlight on the building left me with such a powerful blue sky I couldn't help but to show it...
