that is amazing Dave, not usual thing, very unique architecture. From the thumpnail I thought that is something small and not a big building size monument, very good night shot also with good quality, no noise, grain, hot spots etc and well lighted - with ballance - object.
Best regards!

Fantastic sculpture and night shot, Dave! Beautiful colors and lighting. Minus 30C would be too cold for me to get out! You're brave!

Sure was cold at -30C with WC, but great exposure nonetheless.

Great photograph, that's cold, dedicated to the bitter end (pun intended). I went for a walk in the snow in the daylight and it was warmer, now that's sensible, lol. Glad u liked my snow&leaves photo.

Dave, it is good to see that -30C does not deter. I was ready to assume you were going to hang up your camera for the duration of winter. (Don't mind me - I am just another BCer rubbing it in.) I see that you did a really good job of timing your shot. Its as if you painted the sculpture with light and left beautiful tones in the night sky. The positioning in the frame looks perfect!

I like the angle you chose for this shot. Together the arch and the towers along with the night light makes an excellent photo. You have a very good eye to see the potential. Del.

Richard Thornton   {K:26442} 12/7/2005
Niether you nor your camera froze up? Good for both of you! This is a nice travel-type image procurred at great personal cost, I think. The night shot is probably more effective than a similar one in daylight.

great shot, in difficult conditions too. i think it'll also work very well as an abstract, if you crop the bottom a bit.
