I actually like the wideness of the photo vs. a closer crop of the bird taking off.

It's difficult to get a shot like this and have everything be perfect.

The reflection of the bird in the water is excellent. As Dave commented the white of the wings contrasted with the orange feet is brillant.

Leg dragging, at it's finest moment . A closer crop might make this more dramatic. As it is, it feels a little static, though you 'made me look'. I like your high saturation green, and the brilliant white wings contrasted against orange feet.
