About Here's one that means a lot to me. My eldest son still at home, now an adult, decided to go through the rite of confirmation in the church to which his mother and I belong. The decision was his, and his alone. Here the Bishop is laying on his hands, symbol of the gift of the indwelling Holy Spirit. It's an unbroken tradition that dates back to the very earliest days of the church.

Thanks, Richard. Good to see you back. There will never be a repeat opportunity for this particular shot, but I have twin boys in highschool and one of them may follow his elder brother before too long... I did not feel at liberty to crop closer to the main, central figures, because that would have meant cutting out most of the person in dark clothing with her back to the camera. This was a very important person (God-mother) in the ceremony and needs to be in the frame... I must try it in B&W, thanks for the suggestion.

Hello, Roger ?

You are putting your Bessaflex to good use, I see. This is good record of an event that meant a lot to you. My only suggestion would be to move in closer to include just the four main figures, possibly by using a longer lens. Have you tried this in black and white, just for the PJ look?

Your images of Japan bring experiences to some of us that we are unlikely to encounter personally.

And how nice to have one of your warmly encouraging comments again! I am so glad you are posting again. I felt so sad for you over the loss of Max, as I remember how devastated you were when he had his stroke. Dog "heaven" is to be loved by a good owner, so Max spent his time on earth in heaven, I am sure.
