Hi Mary, I use the same approach you do in deciding what I like. I usually have an immediate affinity for a picture. What I've been working on is trying to figure out why that is. That covers a lot of ground--but it's part of what makes taking photos and looking at them so much fun and so stimulating.

I really enjoyed looking at this Autumn in Central Park series. I like this one the best. Please don't ask me why. Being so new to taking pictures, I don't know the techniques or the elements that make a picture good. All I can go on is what is pleasing to my eyes and what stirs something in me. You have done some fascinating things with reflections.
Thank you so much for your comment on my Dark Brightness. I don't have PS or anything similar, so my pictures have no or very little editing. With this, all I did was take out a hydro pole and switch it to B&W. I'll see if I can try your suggestion.
