Thanks a lot, Claudia!
It was indeed the pattern I wanted to get, and so I am happy if you like it!
Cheers!

Thanks a lot again, Dave!
As already said, still I wonder how to make such patterns really magnetizing.
Cheers!

Thanks a lot for the nice comment, Txules!
I assume that I am less convinced of this one, though. It's OK but... Anyway, glad to know that you like it.
Cheers!

Thanks a lot for the nice comment and the generous rating, Brigitte!
Though it was out of your good intention, a normal 7 should be enough because a 7 is already the top rating and all those "+"-signs generate only an inflation of ratings, which then lowers the quality standards.
I would say that this one doesn't really deserve even a 7. It's perhaps OK, but not really top, isn't it? The garden itself was really very nice, but this *image* of the garden... oh well! A bit too trivial, I guess. I would give it a 4 or perhaps 5.
Thanks again and cheers!

Thanks a lot again, Andre, for the good in depth going comment!
I am fully with you on this one, as your comment confirms my own impression. Such images are some kind of "flat pattern" - a repetition of almost the same form and color with small variations here and there. So, if one goes for such an impression it must be "magnetic" enough, or else it is only a pattern.
The only good thing I see here is the repetition of similar strokes but only when I consciously don't try to find out something special on the image. And this is also why I think that it doesn't really succeeded in leading the eye automatically over the whole image. If it were successful it should happen by itself and not after being careful to see it as a whole. So I think I am saying the same as you do, but with other words.
It would be interesting though to get some view of "the whole" that does offer that magnetic pattern look. And as I already said in the previous message, it is still so hard for me to do that. Concentrating on some few flowers from a short distance is easy, but getting an image like this one in a good way seems to be much more work. I wish I had some clue about that, but as it seems I have to search more.
Thanks alot agaon, and cheers!

Hi again Nick, This one is an example of what I was talking about in the previous comment. Too much spread out over the whole image with no real focal point. The colours are there, but nothing that hits you with a "bang". It's possible others will have different opinions. But that's the way I see it. Andre
