A month late, my apologies Darlene. Just takes my breath away! The subtle color and light changes in the trees and moss, for me, really sets this one apart. I could look at it for hours and not see all the nuances of light and dark, of the grays, greens and blues with the touches of gold from the sunlight. All of which are hazily reflected in the still waters below to doubly treat the eye. And to see the muscles in the wings of the egret pulling it upward...just magnificent!
Thank you for showing me, again, what I miss so much about our Louisiana!

Oh my, this is a magical scene. The light, the reflections, the shapes of the trees, and last but not least, the bird in the centre.
As you've CC'd this I'd comment that the white bird appears a little blown, but in reality I don't feel this detracts from the image at all.

What a nice dream place.
I have never seen in my life.
Must be a hot and humid place with lots of insects,aligators and as we can see, nice birds.
Looks prehistorical.

OH MY!! This is so beautiful, Darlene! The texture of the trees is so soft, it almost looks like an white angel rising up into the clouds.

Wow, What a magical place! I am goinf to have to go there sometime. On mt monitor the bird is just a touch over exposed. Nothing that couldn't be recovered in RAW. But, What a magical place!!

Darlene -- This is a breathtaking view that almost seems like a make-believe scene from a movie. You can almost hear the animals and smell the air. Incredible depth, detail, and color. Wonderful and going into my favorites.

wow, great shot, Darlene! The egret (or heron?) in flight is just the icing on the cake! I don't think there's much to critique about this one... maybe one could be fussy about the location of the bird being too central, but that would just be nit-pickin'... an exquisite shot with dreamy lighting.
