yeah.. I know both Shelby and David (I have both as UF Friends) hold differing opinions about the hole in the wall in the background.. for me all three holes say you are not checking your viewfinder ebfore tripping the shutter button.. Last thing you do before depressing the shutter is run your eye around the viewfinder.. this disconnects you from the main part of the subject that you are hot for and allows you to see the ENTIRE image.. it is then that you will see the cigarette butt on the ground in front of the bride or the tree behind someones head etc .. great shot apart from the holes in the wall. hi Joanne, congratulations, this is a super shot, I'm not sure if the little white rectangles are a problem either, the model is strong enough to stand on her own without messing with the background too much, I would leave well alone as Shelby's excellent critique suggests, well done. cheers, david.

Joanne -- If for no other reason, Monique is what makes the picture; her expression and pose are very professional and well done. Nicely saturated color but the POV and background just do not work for me on this one.

I agree with Shelby . . . while I'm not the biggest fan of the POV in this shot I certainly think the setting has come through nicely to make this shot somewhat different than the typical shoots. :)

I love the location for this, great choice. Great picture! The only thing I wish were different is the one white rectangle of light in the distance at the side of her face, a lil' distracting, but overall the picture is so well done that it isn't much of a problem. I like your other portrait too. Welcome to UF. Am so looking forward to what's next!
