  Q. How do you enjoy your photos?
Jürgen Reinold
Asked by Jürgen Reinold    (K=1651) on 1/21/2006
Digital photography is incredible. Now you can make huge amounts of photos for (nearly) free and, consequently, there will be many good ones that you don’t want to just disappear in the computer.

I have put a picture rail system up, and Costco does a pretty good job printing photos for $1.99 up to 11x14 and $2.99 up to 12x18. But I am not sure I like any of the frames that are available on the market.

First of all, I have a lot of windows in the house and I really dislike reflections. Then I’d like to change the pictures quickly and easily (the picture rail system allows me to move things around quite easily), but it takes a lot of work to disassemble the frames every time I’d like to change the pictures.

I am wondering whether there is a glass-free, frame-free way of displaying the photos. It should be possible to dry-mount photos on some kind of rigid material. Something light but better than foam core board. Foam core without a frame bows and the raw edges look pretty ugly.

Any ideas?

Jürgen
