  Q. Make it easy to add new portfolio categories
Roger Williams
Asked by Roger Williams   Donor  (K=86139) on 9/2/2006
It would be nice if, instead of just [none] in the pull-down for which portfolio a photo should be associated with, we could also have a blank or [enter] that would allow us to type in a new category and have it added.

Hi Roger,

Hmmm. not so sure if that would be an addition. I for one don't need it, I have my own portfolios constructed in such a way that it basically covers all areas. And if I need a new one, it'll only be every now and then. I'd rather stay with the current system than ending up with an excess of useless and ill-chosen portfolios in a pull down menu.

Cheers,

Hugo

Thanks, Al.

Hugo, if I visit "edit my portfolio" you I add not only new portfolio names but also brief descriptions of them. I have just done that for "High Dyanamic Range (HDR) Images." But being able to add a new category on the fly, if not too difficult for sysadmin to create and administer, could be a nice addition.
