If you want reliable hosting, you can get it from www.bigbluebang.com
A lot of webhosts are empty on promises and have a clause they can cut you off if you actually even get near what they promised you.
The owner of the above site helps with usefilm and does a great job as a webhost. You may want to consider it.

Charles,
Try www.hasweb.com
They are great. Me and a friend run a web design firm from it. They are rock solid reliable and dirt cheap. Just something to think about.
Good luck!

artbeacon.com if you're looking for more than just hosting. They allow you to create a site that is ecommerce enabled. Designed for artists no less. I have my web site there. http://www.artbeacon.com/jmg-galleries/
You can get a portfolio account or use their premiere accounts that are store enabled.
