  Q. Windows Updates & Upload Quality

Asked by Mark Beltran    (K=32612) on 10/12/2005
I had to reformat my hard drive recently. And after I got it going again, I noticed that the image quality of my uploads to here and in other websites were really bad. By that, I mean they were very pixelish (sorry) and just plain lousy.

And then Windows Update started nagging me to let it do its thing, so I let it. Big difference, somehow. I'm sure it fixed something. Anybody know what? Not that I'm complaining...something fixed my upload quality.

Mark, I'm not too sure on this one but my best guess would be that windows update installed a new graphics driver (or something similar), which allows better quality in terms of pixels and colour etc.

If you check your control panel and then go to ?Add/Remove Programs?, you?ll be able to find some sort of graphics driver mentioned on the list.

Hope this solves your question

Lance

I had no idea they also update graphics drivers. Thank you, Lance.
