Q. Color Matching a scanner

How can I be sure my scanner is scanning the colors correctly. Is there a "standard" target that can be scanned, then looked at in photoshop and checked to see if red is scanned as red, blue as blue, and so on...

Yes John - it's called a Macbeth color target (one of 'em anyhow), google it and you'll find one online no problem.
There are also complete kits w/ software available for calibrating and profiling your equipment - well worth the money if you need consistent color output. Try googling 'color managment kits' or something similiar,

Thanks Chris,
I just got the scanner (DiMage Dual Scan IV) and I am getting familiar with it. I think I can setup a profile for it, But I guess I am going to have to get a IT8 target for the scanner first, then scan that.
