Q. Photomerge

How good is photoshops built in Photomerge. Am I better off doing it by hand? Thanks everyone!

I have not used PS photomerge but I've used a couple of other merging softwares,e.g.,Ulead,and I've found that doing it manually in PS is always better.1)In merging softwares u tend to lose a portion of the pix during overlaping 2)Minor adjustments can be made in PS hiding all signs of merging.
I've attached an example of merging in PS done manually.

3)If there are exposure and perspective differences in the merged pix that can be matched very closely in PS when done manually.I'm posting the original pix
