  Q. Photo Restoration
Sheila Carson
Asked by Sheila Carson    (K=5924) on 7/8/2006
I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to how to restore this photo. It's an old one of my mom and her dog that I would love to restore for her for her birthday.

Want to take a stab at it yourself? Feel free. Thanks for the help.

I'm working with PS Elements 4.0.

Thank you for any help!

This one might be beyond repair. It would certainly take extensive work (2-4 hours) to end up w/ a professionally retouched photo.

Are there any other less damaged photos you could use?

Even with significant work this one may be beyond repair.

Yeah, I was kind of thinking that it might be beyond repair. I thought that maybe I should ask here first just to see if anyone had any ideas. We do have a good shop in town that I might check out. I have a lot of other old photos that I've been working on for her that I've had luck with. None of them have been anywhere close to as bad as this one though. I appreciate your time. Thanks!

Well, it might take much longer than 4 hours, but it is possible

30 minutes work
