  Q. 18 - 55 mm lens.. Worth it?

Asked by Tyler Ham    (K=104) on 3/31/2006
hello!
I am newish to underwater photography.. I have a Nikon D50 and an Ikelite housing. Anyhow.. I am going to be MOSTLY taking photos of sharks, however, a good friend of mine who is a fantastic photographer told me I should get a 18-55 mm lens, as it would serve as my wide angle AND Macro, so I can switch on the fly..

Any thougths on this?? I didnt understand why he was refering to the 55mm aspect as Macro...

Thank you!
