About Subject background: My tribute tour for my UF friends now becomes two-dimensional. This one is for Todd Miller who is the Commander of reduced to the max cityscapes, flatscreens and warehouse rocks. The reduction to two dimensions opens up a view that sees things differently. Check out his incredible pictures:

PS work: Cropping. Some work with the channel mixer.

Sorry for the lack of comments at the moment. I'm very much consumed up with work. This will probably last for the next two weeks.

Hi Paul,

thx for the feedback. cropping out the sky would make a different image, I agree. In this case, I wanted to bring in a contrast to the industrial look.

anyway, appreciate your support!

Hey Todd,

it's great to have friends that have style ;-)

So I'm walking through the streets and see subjects that have names on it - names of photographers ;-)

Glad you liked it, Thilo

lovely Thilo! thanks much for the tribute shot...
it's amazing that you're able to sift out and utilize your friends' styles like this. this one definitely reminds me of something i'd shoot, but it's got that Thilo sky that i can only dream of. great work.....

Very very nice, I like all of the millions of lines running through this image. I like the sky and the yellow sign on the door adding some color. Really cool~

Nice abstract / cityscape, but I dont think it needs color. I would prefer a B&W version

Cheers

flat maybe and two dimensions for sure but very well exectuted. the combination of lines and contours is exciting. the textures are engrossing and lead the eye around the image.

Hi Thilo! Just checked out Todd?s portfolio - he has a great eye! What I like most here is the blue of the sky :) Perfect composition and border; flawless work!

I like this image a lot but I think it would be better if you cropped the sky out of the image completely. The building itself is the main focus of the composition and cropping the sky would emphasize the building more.... great work

Hi Thilo,
Another wonderful dedication shot! I intend to go through all of the portfolios you will be featuring. Of the three that you have done so far, there is still some unmistakeable "Thilo" in them. Understandable and natural, I think.

I was thinking Todd or Kevin!!!! You are terrific to se and understand what all so far what capture and how they would do it also! Of course i also LIKE this one, nice lines, geometry, colours balance between the window and door!

:)

Nice abstract Thilo, The lines are great, I think I would have put this in the lines project..and I like that you included a thick border further enhancing the lines...I see that you included more sky in yours and I see what you mean it does add a dimension..very pristine and very nicely done...Linda
