I think cropping out the sky and mountain tops, would be best, then our eye really focuses on the birds and the gorgeous color of the water. Beautiful shot. Alison

DARLENE;
YOU MIGHT TRY TO ADD A LITTLE LITE BLUE TO THE SKY AND LEAVE THE WHITEISH YELLOW SKY; THIS IS MY OPONION, DO AS YOU SEE FIT. THE PHOTO IS EXCELLENT ANY WAY.
HOPE YOUR DAUGHTER IS DONG WELL, WE ARE THINKING AND PRAYING FOR HER.
SONNY

I Love the Shot Darlene, I have never seen that many birds together at once. I think I would have changed out the Sky, Or cropped it down to just below the mountains. But Thats just MHO.
Best Regards

Might try masking off the sky and distant mountains and then doing a high pass filter with
the numbers dialed up. Experiment with the light option in the layer(lens) panel, then the transparency.
This way you can stay in the same color range and maybe get a little detail in the blow out.

This is marvelous photo dear Darlene. Really the sky blow-out, but I prefer change it's sky or cut down. Really wonderful details. My favorite blue tones and colors! Wonderful composition, great find! :)
My best favorite pict!
Best wishes!

This is a very striking shot, but the sky is really blown-out. If it were mine, I'd put in another sky that had some of the quality of the one you saw. It is a tough call, especially when the shot is so strong and so unusual. Good luck.

Regards,
--George
