About this series was/is a very personal series for me. It started as something else, and really moved into the fact that women really are oppressed. Not in every society, however the mistreatment of women is a global crisis. I generally don't get political, but I feel it necessary to make some sort of statement to this. I really feel that as artists we have a responsibility to make statements through our art. This happens to be mine right noow. Too many women today look like this because of the actions of someone they love, and it is time it stopped.

i suppose that in an abusive situation one might feel that suicide is the only answer hence the addition of the noose.
I hope that all the little ironies that went into this iamge make themselves apparent to you. And I hope that all of us can somehow, strive to make a difference. Wether it is our talents, our time, our ability to listen, our generosity or our experience, I hope we can lend it to a cause greater than ourselves.

It's ok Bryan, people just don't like to be reminded that there are awful people in this world that can do these kinds of things to other people. I commend your work...I think I said that before, lol, anyway...well done.
Liz
