Many thanks Don, but I don't understad what is the "point of no return" & some other your's comments. Sorry, I don't understan very good english but I think we don't have the same Idea about photography.
Photography, for me, is not make a copy of the world or about what I see. I think one of photography's strongest elements is to record a part of the world with the individual photographer's aesthetic and a personal style view. I'm an "instinctive" photographer and my Idea to take photography it's that the eye, hand and camera become an extension from my mind. For me the technical perfection is not so important because at first I look at my personal "vision".
Nicely composed, but the highlight are burned out to the point of no return... is the color images that way or did this happen in the convertion to b/w? Digital is like slide film, "never overexpose" alway cheat to the underexpose side there is still detail in the shadows and can be reclaimed in Photoshop.. even Element III has a great shadow/highlight recovery... good luck ..the 300D will do the job fine( i still have mine!!
