Absolutely 100% right on this one Pat. When I was blocked a while back for about a week all that stuff you mentioned did happen. On top of that, as you said, if someone has say a 6 given by a lot of people and when I'm done commenting I push 7 I've actually seen it GO DOWN to 5.9 or 5.8 ! There's definitely something not quite right going on and I tried to address it twice to Al cause he's asking for any and all improvement suggestions right now. If you think your input might change things give it a shot. You get a ton of viewers so you should have some influence. Hope we can get this fixed - NO ANONYMOUS RATERS ! Take care, Mark

I have tried to get the ratings system fixed for over a year now. I even started a forum which mysteriously was deleted... Al says this system is flawless but it is not. Just try this: Log in with your name and look at the thumbnails on your portfolio. Make sure u notice the ratings displayed under them... Now, log out and look at your portfolio again. Most of the ratings disappear, as to not influence people to rate the image higher or lower. Another thing is that if u rate a friend's image a 7, u are likely to bring the rating down instead of up. I think it is unfair. Try it. I am totally sick of anonymous ratings. People should learn to be responsible for their actions and their criticism. I strongly believe that people will think twice before giving a low rating that is not backed up by a REAL CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM. Hopefully Al and the whole UF team will listen now and get this fixed. Cheers
Pat

the black string looks like a garter to me, i know when i worked a fredericks we had a small selection of underwear w/garters [kinda weird imo]
but, i love the dof, the bold colors, the angle.. MAYBE if she had tipped her head down a bit to her hand more.. but what do i know, eh?
it's a beautiful picture pat

Thanks for letting me know. Now this explains alot. I have tryed to figure out some of the ratings on mine because I know of most of them who comment, so now I know. Thanks Mark. I hope they do fix it.

Dear Rona and Judi, Yes, I just went and tried it on a friend's picture - you can't leave a 7 or a 1 without a comment (that's what the red message says) but 2 to 6 are wide open for any anonymous person to just hit and leave. I was a victim of this numerous times when I was being maybe a bit too political (I've quit doing that) and I know Patrick brought it up in past comments and now I see Judi has been a victim. IMO any one that leaves ANY rating - good or bad - should have their name attached to that rating - comment or not. I leave a lot of comments on my friends work and I've noticed a lot of people have their bar ratings off (due mainly to abuse I suspect) I hope enough people agree so this can be changed. To leave a suggestion for Al it's under "Party Time" in the Donors only forum section. Thanks for listening, really appreciate it, Mark

Hi Rona. The other day I actually tried it out and yes....I was able to rate without leaving comments. Many of us have been hurt by people dropping the ratings without comments. So let's hope the new forum thread will bring this to a standstill.

Hi Mark, hey I tryed rating a photo once, a 7, and it would not take it without a comment. So, are you sure there are anonymous ones without comments? I find that interesting. Let me know and I will check out the forum. ro

Hello Ppdix, great angle on this shot, I do share Rona's question as to what that black string in the back is. Just an opinion, I find the skin tone too warm & most likely I'd shoot one without the shoes (For Comparison Purposes) & lastly I'd positioned the head a little more upright looking @ the same direction. Other than that a great shot, cheers.

Patrick, nice shot / interesting angle. Listen, Al's taking suggestions for improvements on the site in the donors only section in the Photo Forums. I brought up something that you've complained about and I have too and that is anonymous ratings where you don't know who left you just a rating without commenting and just moving on. If you want that changed so you know what rating every single person who pushes the button gives you (no anonymous "hit and run raters") you gotta tell Al. Serious on this one Pat - nows the time to bring it up. 7 on the shot.
