About Mirror Lake and Mount Watkins in Yosemite National Park. Although originally believed to be a lake, this is actually just water from the Merced River that backs up during certain times of the year.

I prefer to create my images in the camera, but I wasn't happy with any that I took at this site. There was so much jet traffic that it was impossible to get any pics without jet trails. Consequently, this image is more heavily edited in PS than I ususally do: cloned out a branch in the sky and water; cloned out floating debris; selectively dodged Mt. Watkins; selectively adjusted contrast and brightness in the sky and water; and increased overall contrast just a smidgen.

its sometimes hard to know how much editing to do. i try to keep it to a minimum but its easy to over or under do it, depending on the photo. this photo actually looks quite nice and i think you did a fine job ~ james

Beautiful picture..Although you added contrast, I think it still needs more contrast between your lights and darks. Maybe bump up your shadows and highlights?
