About One thing we have alot of here (and remember I am limited at this time where I can shoot because I'm stuck at work) is a wide variety of flies. I almost feel as if I'm the fly photographer:) However I am getting alot of good (different) fly macros. This one is pretty cool with a little PS work to box him in.

Shutter Speed 1/15 sec.
EF25 Extension Tube

Enjoy

PS: I hope I am taking these flies to a new photographic level;)

He looks very stream line, top of his class. :) Beautifully taken James. I must admit you and Armando seem to have a thing for the bugs, and you catch them beautifully. Alison

I think this is so neat! I love the boxed in effect, the colours are my favourites and your fly is so sharp - beautifully done.

I'm gaining a whole new appreciation for flies because of your intimate portrayals. They sport some beautiful translucent colors. Thanks for sharing!

Excellet photo! Really good to get only the head of the insect in focus. Pity the DOF is so shallow, as it would have been really fantastic to get the whole thing in sharp focus. Congrats and my best wishes... 7/7
