John, I thought I left a note for you about the Epson F3200 scanner in reply to yours here, but I don't see it. As I remember, I said that if you want to continue scanning film, neg or slide, this scanner is truly excellent, and can cope automatically with panorama formats and MF, etc. You may end up paying for bells and whistles you never use (bypassing the computer, using the built-in LCD streen, etc.) but it is a fast and very convenient machine to use.
I like to guess the lens from the thumbnail, and I got it right with this one. Also guessed the film. (wonder how I managed that!). Forgive my bias, but I think this would make a wonderful panorama, although I'd find it difficult to know how much to cut off and whether to take more from top of bottom. Probably the darkest part of the reflections, which have very little detail, would go.
