Hello Ann,
There is but one way to get a shot like this and that's with a tripod. I use a smaller light weight tripod that is more mobile and easier to move around. Those large Gitzo tripods are very cumbersome and not easy to set up. I mostly shoot in low light situations so I use a tripod for every shot, without exception.

What a great shot, Ronnie, so clear and sharp. I love these sort of shots 'cos I know how hard it can be to get them. I'm still trying. How do you manage to keep the camera so steady? I've tried a tripod but it's very cumbersome and too big for this kind of work. Any tips would be appreciated. Cheers, Ann.
