Beautiful b&w work.. the low viewingpoint working well with the bridge and the flock of houses to the right .. contrasts are quite good, the little people on the bridge add perspective to the composition !

If the D70 has presets, acquire one for the b&w mode and get it to come out like this as a baseline. This is nice, because it appears to have been made with an orange filter already in.

That was my first impression, the sky and clouds! And I see you have a new camera...very nice. It's a beautiful panoramic sweep, much like the angle of view our eyes achieve.

doing very well with that D70 - the sky came up really well, if I took this shot with the D100 the highlights in the clouds would be blown ..

It was the sky that caught my attention, and it makes this picture stand out from the rest. This is so powerful, and in a way shows how small the big things we create is, against nature. Great, great shot.

No filters used. I use a programme called Virtual Photographer...takes a little practice but its worth it. Mainly played with the red channels and then dodging and burning by eye.
