Endearing creatures, aren't they! Have to love those expressions. The light shining through those translucent ears is just perfect, too. Lovely shot. It also works as a panorama crop, with the defocussed foreground removed and a wee bit from the top... emphasizes all those horizontals. Our shetland sheepdog would be in heaven there. He's always trying to herd us as if we were sheep...

Great angle and light, John. At least they didn't run away fast, like they did when I tried to take pictures of them (also on Otago BTW). Or were you dressed in sheepskin lying there? ;-))
