I just love this portrait of your grandfather, dear Pan...I think that including garlic in the background is fantastic idea - the detail that completes the story, actually 100 stories on your grandpa face and eyes. Lovely work!

hi pan! it's honour to take comments from a photography artist. by the way, your grandpa looks like those in turkiye and, of course, mine which also amazes me and proves that hellen and turkish people have been ever alike. thank u very much and please never hesitate to leave comments for my photos..
with love..

Dear Pia, it's unfortunately a combination of a bad scanning along with a cheap camera that couldn't handle slide film. That's why it's overexposed. Unfortunately the slide doesn't have more details either, let aside that my grandpap lives in a small village 500Km away so it's not easy to have another picture taken :) But you never know, maybe i'll be able to shoot another one this summer. I'm also thinking of maybe reworking this one on PS, just to hide some of its weaknesses. Thank you for commenting my pictures.I'll be waiting for your comments on my other pictures as well. Please, feel free.
Take care :) Pan.

Please take some portraits of your grandpa again, he is very photogenic, this one is too overexposed and the quality (from the scan?) could be better. Try it again....its my suggestion:)
Ciao, Pia

genuine and spontaneous - this is a touching and intimate portrait framed in a superb setting. too bad the quality of the scan has caused some loss of detail on the left side.
