About	This young song thrush was found abandoned by one of my young neighbours (aged 11) last summer and he looked after it by feeding it worms. He worked tirelessly to keep a constant supply of worms for it and it was a true success story.

Thanks for your comment Christine, it was actually a very big bird for its age. You are right, it is very rare that birds survive if abandoned by there parents..regards Gavin

what a wonderful story-- and photo. Always nice to be able to actually help something, too often all we do is harm. Is it the pov, or is the little bird really that LARGE? It looks huge :)
