Thank you for your comment Nicole. I am afraid that if I cropped the shot, the shadow would be lost and the symmetry of the composition would disappear. However, I always welcome differing points of view. It is always helpful to take a second look.

I know you would like it. He is doing the Proud Warrior Asana, which is a very advanced pose. This photograph without a doubt has brought me more compliments than any other. The model is very unique. He has one blue eye and one brown eye. He was my personal trainer for a year. I will later post an image done in PS called "The Swimmer".

To get this shot, I had to carefully angle my camera and use a low perspective to hide the legs stretching behind him. It was really a partnership between model and photographer. We both knew what we wanted the image to be. I used fairly fast shutter speed because the shoot was hand held and my posture to get the right angle was quite precarious. :)

Posing, exposure, composition, tones. Very creative, graphic. His eyes facing us directly are awesome also. I can imagine how hard it was to manage this shooting since he's posing perfectly. But the result is certainly worth the efforts. Very well done!
