I like it just as much!
It does indeed tell a little story and thats why I chose that title for my photo.
thanks again everyone!
p.s.: sorry, I had to divide my comment into 3 parts, cos it wouldn't upload it in a whole...

then i want to explain how this picture came to life, since many were probably wondering about this "unusual" portrait of a child. the boy on this picture is my 5 year old son Nico. while we were taking a walk in the first sunbeams of january i decided to take a few pix of him. i did defo NOT tell him to pose like this, it was his own choice to have a picture taken of him like that. at first i didnt even recognize it as being "special" it was just one of many. this is happening to me very often: i take pix, file them under "family album" ;-) and days or weeks later dig them out again only to find them being rather special. after i had put the shot into square format i thought: thats it! and posted it here. i am glad to see that i wasnt the only one liking it as much ;-)

first of all, thanks to everyone who looked and/or commented this picture. i am very proud to be POD today, just one question: who exactly is deciding about who becomes it? i have only been a member of this site for a few months and havent quite got through the rules etc here ;-)

Good lighting and tonal quality . A little unusual for a boy of this age to exhibit this kind of sad emotion. Furthermore, he is resting on a well seasoned stick.. as though some story is to be told.....:-). Good Job!!

I dont't like portraits when peoples are smiling only for the photography and then finally they are imitate. But your image is perfect choice to show opposite way. Absolutely great. I love expression in his face like he thinking of "where my house could stay in future ... ?" or something else. Keep up the good work. Bye, Matej.

i means, AF 50mm/f1.8 doesnt work well with bokeh in maximum aperture, which makes the backgroud(out of focus) of this portrait is tiny tiny harsh.that's problem of len but your skill .so i said it's a little pity in last comment. ANYWAY,you did a great job, i love your pic.
