But have to admit the female is the better groomed and maybe even looks a bit smarter. Did that get me off the hook for my comment on the male?

Not as flashy as the males, but no less beautiful in my view! Some of the ones I've seen here have a brighter tuft on the head than this one. Man, that looks cold!

Well.., Dottie, God works in mysterious ways. Over here in the human species, he reversed that. Thank God! :-) Rebecca, this is a very lovely shot of the lady cardinal. Very sharp to have been shot through a window.

Harry, just for you tomorrow..I'm going to move some of the branches and capture you the clearest bird you've ever seen :) Thanks again for commenting. It's people like you who help us to see things in a different way, and to grow.

Here I like how the bird is standing surrounded by all this white snow ... Brrrrr. I like the texture of the branch in the foreground and the snow on the small branches of the tree. Bravo dear Rebecca, Khaled.

I would love to have a window trough were I gould obsevate and photograph all these beautiful birds like you do Rebecca, but I also would have cut of these small branchess then. It's a wonderful image again, but the twiggs are still a bit distracting...Kindest regards, Harry
