Heliconia psittacorum flower.
As my UF friend Thilo Bayer says, PS concept and purpose: creating a Season?s greetings card, using tropical atmosphere. Original photo in traditional christmas colors (red/green) cropped and rotated, enlarged canvas, background filled with multiple technique, flare render added and framed with PS-CS.
Heliconia L. is a large genus of attractive monocots, mostly indigenous to the Neotropics. They are related to bananas, cannas and gingers and traditionally have been included in the Banana Family (Musaceae). Most recent authors prefer to interpret the genus Heliconia as making up the one-genus family Heliconiaceae. Carmem, this is excellent! I am most impressed with the greeting card that you created, make this most unusual and so very different from the "traditional snowy/candle" scenes. Your PS flare and prisms are just perfect and your message heartfelt and sincere. Your flower is warm and rich in colour, most unusual flower and very beautiful. The forecast is for a typical icelandic christmas weather. Most likely it will be cold winds from the north pole with a high chance of snow. Actually quite lovely weather, so all families will be inside in the heat and enjoy each other's company and good food. Driving conditions will be tough all across the land.
