Never say never, this activity created auroras in both hemispheres. This one was as far south as california, and the southern lights were about equal distance north. .

Nice photo. We experienced this last night in the southern hemisphere. I have floated a photo up but haven't got the same quality that you have achieved. I can only get a shutter speed of 15 seconds. The colour here is great. Nice work.

Darrell, this is the most spectacular image of the northern lights I've seen yet. I'm getting chills looking at the picture. I can't imagine what it must have been like in person. Great job on this and thanks for sharing!
