About Halloween costume shoot. Her character was actually "Dead Bride." This "dead" whatever theme is all the rage at the elementary school nearby. Hope this explains the "creepy" element referred to in some of the comments. :)

Antonia, I love your work, this is a fabulous portrait, especially the girls expressions it's formidable, can’t get any better, my fever is the B&W, technically the lighting - composition is fantastic!

nell'istante veloce
complimenti

You are foraging through :)...I'm flattered. You have an eye for my personal favorites. The color ends up being my preference after all. Thank you, Mara. Antonia

She looks so innocent and beautiful even though she makes the perfect "Dead Bride". :) I like the color better because it captures both the nature of the costume and of the child.

I have seen it and written about it again, but still I wanted to say once more, congratulations...this is awesome.

Thanks, Toya. I was torn between the two, and so does it seem is the audience on this picture. That teaches me not to get stuck on the idea that there is a right and a wrong. It's nice to have you here at Usefilm. You are the first from WDP, besides me, as far as I know. I've been hinting for weeks, and you came within 10 minutes...lol. Warm regards. Toni

I love this photo, the black and white is my preference but thats probably because I really like how black and white can show contrast and texture so well. A very stunning shot!

It is strange, because I had thought I had commented on this one already, I still remember this shot. Very well done, such sophistication for such a young lady. The composition is splendid, I love how the one eye stands out compared to the other. The painted nails and lips. There is such a sense of growing up too fast, well done with this amazing image~

I prefer the B&W image. There is something about the color one that seems a little too creepy. I can't put my finger on exactly what it is that makes me feel that way though.

A little unsettling, but excellent. I think the original as posted is the best version so far. The desaturated versions are more spooky but I think they are overkill. An unusual case of where high saturation is a more subtle statement.

High marks for composition, lighting and technical excellence.

A novel approach. Conceptually a little disturbing. Would this be better named "Punk Bride," because of the black eyes. Maybe this goes with the black lipstick and nails and I shouldn't be surprised.

However, if a reaction is what you are looking for, you got one. What a contrast with your "Savannah."

Peace, Leora

hi Toni, which do you think is better, it's your image, mono or colour is yopur decision, don't give them a choice, and besides taking the colour out doesn't inherently make a good mono image

I think Cheryl's decoloured version is little too insipid, but lightening the eyes is worthwhile

Hi Maggie, I love that you gave your opinion! And I think the image is getting better all the time. What you say about "standing up" is true. Great edit. Toni

Imageopolis Featured Photo Critique This is an excellent picture. I like the color one on the bottom that was lightened. I attached my opinion. Hope you dont mind. I think that the thicker border takes away from the picture. The black thinner border makes the picture stand up

Hi Cheryl, I really like what you did with the photo, and I'm tickled that you took the time to re-work it. :) This is fun here, isn't it!? Toni

Toni, I did a little playing with this. I liked the color one too. I thought since it was Halloween it would be better in B&W and pull back the color from the lips - I put a "screen" layer on it to lighten it up though. My new favorite fix in PS.

The light is perefect and have to love her pose. I prefer the colour one as the colour gives it a richness the black and white one is missing IMHO.

Patrick, I was trying to be artistic with the odd crop :) If I pull in to balance her center, I lose the ruffle and it's not as interesting to me. If I pull in to the edge of the ruffle, it looks off...sigh, what am I to do :( T.

Works in colors also.. great expression and outfit.. i like this portrait! =) The black and white is better for me though.. but there its obvious that you might want to crop abit abit tighter on the right side (from our view). If you ask me.. =)

Cheers
