I like the dramatic tones, noise, and lighting. The dark space works well, thought I might crop a small bit more from left side.

Thankyou Kurt. Yes, I agree. Everybody has a dark side and a light side. If we didn't, I think we would be boring. I really appreciate how you can see what I am trying to portray in an image. Thankyou.

Judi, I really like what you've done here. Kitas left side (our right) is so highlighted and bright with a glow in the background reminiscent of an angelic halo, while her right side is dark, shadowy and mysterious. I have yet to meet a person who doesn't have a 'light' side and a 'darker' side, that's the nature of our humanity. I think you've captured that reality quite well in this image. The catchlight in her right eye stands out in bold contrast to the darkness surrounding it. And my heart goes out to all those poor Aussie boys who will someday have their hearts broken by this lovely young lady. : ) Kurt

excellent moody portrait Judi - the almost grainy effect really enhances the subject!

Thankyou Maja. I was aiming for a really different approach with this one. Hence the extremes.

Hi Judi,
I don't know but it seems not so good balansed to me.Left side it too dark and right side have too much light on her face.

Thankyou Amanda. That is exactly what I was after. I was getting a little worried with all the views and no comments thinking I hadn't achieved what I was after. So thankyou.

Fabulously moody. Love the dark, gritty texture to it.
