Alison,
"I had to run back to get the camera" -I never knew that and interest in photograpy can keep you fit as well.
I know it can give you problems - Once I ventured into a bush to gain access to a 'better' angle of view and got poked and scratched badly by the thorns.
Well worth the run. Nice autumn scene.

Wow - this is great, Alison! I don't think it could get much stronger compositionally or graphically! Those leaves are absolutely amazing, and they really pop against the dark background of the manhole cover. This would make a great 'cover page' for a presentation or slide show about Stamford!

You may have the most beautiful autumn leaves of anywhere in the world but still, it takes an artist to produce such an arresting image as this. The contrast between the cast iron and the colored leaves is fantastic.

This is great. I love the composition and the bright colors of the leaves. Good thing you didn't have to go far to get your camera. I get so mad when I don't have it with me and I spot a great image. I'm glad you went back to capture this- it was well worth it!
