Sometimes even I like to take holiday snaps :)
Actually I find images like this quite interesting as you have a lot of fine detail, that requires looking a little deeper into the image.
And I didnt know they ate them at specific times :( Why is that?

Nice scene, but (unlike most of your photos) it is a little busy, no visual focus.

Full moon is when the dogs can come out of hiding, but I don't see them showing their faces yet! (As you probably know, dog is only eaten from new moon to full moon.)

Yeah it was a performance that looked like some classic communist propaganda event, but as I'm not terribly up on my Vietnamese, could have been a Vietnames Idol episode.
Lots of fireworks and lanterns, dragon boat races and stuff. They do it every full moon.
