Bentley is really cute. The soft lightning is peacefully, but there is not much contrast between Bentley and the blanket. SO, maybe another blanket (darker color or different color) and a lower shooting position can improve this picture.
I was kind of going for soft lighting to capture Bentley's sweetness and the serenity of it all. The soft lighting was meant to almost display and represent the peacefulness of the moment.
That cat is really sweet, but the light and the composition is really bad. I would suggest you to experiment more, with anything, even with a desktop lamp you can make great things. Take your time while you take a picture, try to find the right composition, experiment with different angles, until you find the one that make you feel good.
