My newspaper had trouble finding a feature photo and we decided on trying to incorporate a graphic with a story about Ohio State finally passing a resolution to provide domestic partner benefits. I was sent to the gay district, the Short North, to see what I could find. I got there around 5:30 pm on a Monday and nothing was going on. I even had trouble finding pride flags. After a few hours and a few terrible pictures (like the ones that eventually ran in the paper), I noticed a store front window on my way home. I wanted to get the reflection of the arches because that is an association made with the Short North. I was pleased with the results but unfortuantely the pictures were too controversial to run.
