Ryan, this is got to be one of the best ?amateur? photographs I?ve seen of the moon, I read your bio and you might want to check out budd guinn?s work, it?s absolutely incredible and he does it with minimal investment in equipment, just thought I?d mention it, here?s a link, it might not work on the site though? http://www.pbase.com/budguinn/astronomy

Thanks John. My "lens" is a celestron C5 SCT telescope. I mount the camera afocally to the eyepiece.

Yes, I have a celestron C5. I shoot with my digital afocally mounted. I've also got an adapter for my SLR.

Thanks for your comment on my "expanding universe." Having read a lot on the "big bang " theory, that came to mind when I darken the background, hence the title.
