I understand irony - it's like one hand in your pocket when the other one's giving a high five, right?
Keep up the good work, best - Ed

Actually, David, I am a donor (this address is one I only use from work as as have problems logging in on the address I use to upload and comment).
I'm a mere amateur - surely a professional can take some criticism? I wouldn't call it 'brutal' by any stretch of the imagination. I'd call it constructive. I feel it my duty to defend the artist I've named as my influence!
I enjoy the debate on the site, and if someone writes comments it shows they have genuine reactions to the shot.
"A work of art is the unique result of a unique temperament. Its beauty comes from the fact that the author is what he is" That's our dead friend, too.

Oscar Wilde, hes another dead guy isnt he?
As for the brutal comments I'll forgive you if you donate to the site.
I prefer to get criticised by people who put their money where.... well you know the quote ;)

Hello David
You're quite right - didn't mean to be anonymous. Get stuck into my efforts at:

http://www.usefilm.com/photographer/54604.html

And hey - nothing personal. I don't know about you, but I find the harsh criticism more useful than the flattery. Now where's my book of quotations?...

How about Oscar Wilde - "the only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about"
Cheers

Well how about posting some images of your own so I can give you my honest opinion.
This series of images was done just for fun... Now thats a concept that Andy Warhol might have appreciated and as Andy Warhol said .. "Don't pay any attention to what they write about you. Just measure it in inches".

Very clever.

I'm risking going against the flow here, but I don't like this composition, I can't understand the rave reviews. It's a blurred image photshopped different colours - so...?

Much prefer your intruder shot - there is some image devlopment - and it parallels with cctv type footage. That's a clever idea - and the colours aren't garish, as they are here.

Warhol used common images/trademarks and repeated them over and over just as the media did. The image here bears no relation to warhol's work...

Maybe someone can give more detail on why this is such an appealing shot?
