the metro leaves the station as fast as a rocket. ;-) it's only the movement blurring provoking the impression of a high velocity.

surely! but besides I like the idea that the wagons of public transportation are places, where the life pathes of many different people are crossing constantly. you join somebody in the metro, you look at him/her imagining his/her way of life, and at the next station he/she is leaving you going to another point of his/her real life and you will never know anything about it.
