About If you look carefully you can see the faint shadow of wings to the left of the bird's body. This was shot at a slow shutter speed resulting in the shadow. On-camera fill flash was used along with a slave flash to the right which illuminated the green feathers on her back.

I've just never seen the like.... Perfect. When I view the hummingbirds in my back yard, I don't see them with such detail. Thank you, Fred.

You did it again. Thanks for increasing my inferiority complex.
Best regards.

Hi Fred: We'll be looking for you guys on around the 8th. The Los Alamos Big Band will be playing a dance in Taos that day, but I am not sure whether we play in the afternoon (2-5) or in the evening (7-10). I hope to get to Bosque del Apache tomorrow AM.

Michael: I cannot tempt you with anything as I still haven't got the Mark II. If and when I receive it, I will then commence tempting you. We, by the way, are coming through around May 8 on our way to AZ. I hope to have the Mk II by then for our trip to Baja.

Fred, You are merely tempting me (cruelly, I might add) with your new supercamera. Well, you have achieved success in this endeavor, and I can only say that I hope Nikon comes out with adequate competition soon.

Michael: The noise looks so good on the Mark II at ISO 800 that I may gain a stop there.

Very nice, Fred. I would try to crank up the DOF a little this year with your new flash setup.
