About Taken from the east side of Riverdale Park looking west across the Don Valley Parkway. The star effect is the result of using a small aperture during the long exposure.

Just missed you. I moved to Toronto from Montreal in 1976 and then 90 miles east in 1987 to a run-down farmhouse which has since become a very comfortable home. Glad I could stir some memories for you.

This may be an 'old' pic, but I wanted you to know I love it. We (my hubby and me) lived in Toronto some 30 years ago, for almost a year and then had to go back to The Netherlands again.

Thanks Sylvia. And thanks as well for the comment on my home page.

I want to clarify that I did not use a filter making this photograph. I have used this stopped down, long exposure effect on many occaisions and I believe the stars on the highlights are caused by the internal elements of the lens alone. Do we have any members who can provide a proper (perhaps more technical) explanation of how this effect works?

Super result, John. I love the effect of the small filter in making the star effect on thelights. I find these night shots very difficult to do properly. I bet you were pleased with his one.
