About This is another shot I took at Boulmer in Northumberland.
I waited and waited and waited for the sun to pop through. It came through and bingo. (I was freezing cold but it was worth it. I did not relize I had this shot ,it is the only shot with the boat on its own

I love the sky, very dramatic. I guess I'm not the first one to say that it looks as though you have combined two photos. Mind you, I say that as a compliment. An Excellent shot. Well done.

Regards.

I thought at first that you had desaturated the beach to exaggerate the contrast with the sky, but if you have, it's vey subtle, as a close inspection reveals traces of the "sky" colours there in the reflections. This remarkable contrast, the sense of presence of the boat--perfectly placed--and of course the glorious sky itself, combine to make this a really exceptional photograph. I see three people out of 53 have already made it a "favourite." And now there are four!

An amazing straight shot Kevin. The foreground to the horizon is so cool, monchromatic and detailed, then the blurs of the sky show the warm tones. It's a beauty. Thanks for the response. I meant to get to the library today but ran out of time. I do intend to look for you in the 76 Guiness! -Tim

Wow one shot... odd the reflections in the water seem so different. Were you using any ND filters? I guess this is one of those images where seeing an even larger version would be ideal. Great job.

Very dramatic image. The foreground and background would appear to be from different shots though. The reflections in the water don't quite match up to the lighting in the sky. Was this a composite image?

Gorgeous Kevin. It does look like a composite, and even more dramatic for that effect. Fine job. -Tim
