I really like the leves here, very nice job..
I like the bike as well, like she's saying 'what do you want from me?' while the world carries on behind her...
I wish that no-one mentioned the shoe..I never noticed it before...my eyes are drawn to that light spot at the bottom of her coat as well......ahhhhhhhhhh
a very nice shot though! :)

thanks everyone..i have a couple others i took in this series..i was going to post..i really like the bike behind her.
to me it meshes the here and now..

right this very minute. how strange things can happen all at once. but no matter what is going on we are breathing..i see where the tennis shoe could be removed and originally i had cropped a bit off the left..but something told me do as full version.
hard to explain i guess..

:)
thanks for the comments all. she really was quite interesting.

Hi Sandy, I don't really mind the bike in the background here, as some other people do (degustibus etc.). I do feel that the crop in the lower left corner is a bit weird (to my taste again that is), I would prefer a little more, or a little less. As for the space on the right side of the picture, I can't really figure out if I like it or not, sometimes I do, and sometimes I don't, sometimes it really distracts. You did a wonderfull job here at capturing this persons expression!

I like this - the expressiveness of the face and pose really draw me. I have no problem with the person in the background, however, I do wish the crop on the lower left were just tight enough to eliminate the shoe...

Sandy strikes again. How do you capture some of the most intricate portraits?? I need to fly you over here for some lessons. Anyway, Good golly ms molly Peace....

Great expression you've captured here from what looks like a very interesting character. Very strong engagement with the viewer but the relationship of the person with the background is perhaps not as harmonious as it could be. Perhaps a slightly lower viewpoint and adjusting the timing with the passers-by would help. :)

The only reason I rated the compo 6 is that the bike and ride detract from the shot and blend in to much with the subject

twas on her walk to the radio shack that she met the lovely pokey..she sings good .real good. and in your face real close...can be sure you won;t miss one lyric falling from her lips.
